Delta State Governor, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa has inaugurated Delta State Rural Youth Skill Acquisition (RYSA).
While inaugurating Programme for 810 rural youths in Asaba, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa described unemployment as a national emergency.
Governor Okowa also urged the Federal Government and other stakeholders to provide skills and empowerment opportunities for youth.
The Governor also disclosed that his administration’s strategy for job creation has been entrepreneurship development programmes that are anchored on skills training, engaging youths in productive enterprises and nurturing entrepreneurs.
“It is my firm belief that productively engaging our youth and giving them hope for a better future should be a top priority in all our public policies so that we can help them to realise their dreams,” Governor Okowa said.
